A new dog groomer and self-service dog wash has opened in Greenwood: Bowie Barker Bath + Groomerie is located at 8551 Greenwood Ave N.
Bowie Barker opened in late October, and they’re planning a grand opening party on Saturday, Nov. 7 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. They’ll be set up in the courtyard between Flying Bike Cooperative Brewery and Halcyon Brewing with an open house with local vendors, pup cups, and tours of the new salon.
Bowie Barker is a national chain which got its start in California in 2022. They also have locations in Arizona and Illinois—the Greenwood location will be its first in Washington.
The Greenwood Bowie Barker is located on the ground floor of the Towers on Greenwood apartment building. It replaced the Tara Academy of Irish Dance, which operated in the space for 15 years before it moved to 14032 Aurora Ave N.
