CUSTER COUNTY, Colo. (KRDO) -- The Custer County Sheriff's Office (CCSO) is asking for the public's help with an ongoing theft investigation.

CCSO says the investigation involves Greenleaf Forestry and Wood Products, Inc. According to officials, between the evening of November 5 and morning of November 6, someone allegedly unlawfully entered the business and a private residence.

CCSO says several things were stolen, including two chainsaws. The first chainsaw was a Husqvarna 327XP with a 24-inch Oregon bar. The second was a Echo CS-330T orange and black-top handle saw with a 16-inch Oregon bar that was in a black saw box.

CCSO is asking anyone who may have seen any suspicious activity, saw any unfamiliar cars or people around, or has any information about the alleged theft to come forward. Those who might have information are asked to contact CCSO or Fremont County Dispatch and ask to speak with Deputy Thurston.
