Never let anyone tell you that your vote does not count.
Brad Chambers certainly won’t push back.
The Lancaster County Democrat trailed incumbent Republican Brett Miller by just 41 votes after the conclusion of tallying on Election Night. But as the county opened its provisional ballots on Friday morning and included 139 more votes, Chambers appears to be on his way to victory.
Chambers received 105 of those 139 provisional votes to turn his deficit into a 30-vote advantage.
According to LNP, seven provisional ballots were challenged, and 14 overseas or military ballots are outstanding and have until Tuesday – a week after Election Day – to arrive to be counted.
Given Chambers’ 30-vote margin, even if all 21 outstanding ballots were cast for Miller, Democrats appear poised to win another seat to add to their 112 total from its ‘Blue Tsunami’ on Tuesday night.
