New multi-year agreement will bring WISH-TV, WNDY-TV and WRTV to DIRECTV, AT&T U-verse and DIRECTV STREAM.
INDIANAPOLIS — After nearly seven years, WISH-TV is coming back to DIRECTV!
Circle City Broadcasting announced Friday that it has reached a new multi-year agreement with DIRECTV that will bring WISH-TV, WNDY-TV and WRTV to subscribers across DIRECTV, AT&T U-verse and DIRECTV STREAM.
The agreement ends a nearly seven-year carriage impasse that kept WISH-TV and WNDY-TV off DIRECTV platforms.
WISH-TV and WNDY-TV are expected to return within the next few weeks. WRTV, also owned by Circle City Broadcasting, is already available to subscribers.
“This agreement is a significant milestone for our viewers and advertising partners,” said DuJuan McCoy, Owner, President and CEO of Circle City Broadcasting. “We are pleased to restore and expand access to all three of our stations across DIRECTV’s platforms throughout the Indianapolis market.”
The agreement marks a major milestone for Circle City Broadcasting and expands access to its local television stations throughout Central Indiana.
For WISH-TV viewers who have been unable to watch the station through DIRECTV for years, the agreement means the return of local news, StormTrack Forecasts, sports and community programming through their television provider.
It also brings WISH-TV, WNDY-TV and WRTV together under a new carriage agreement, giving DIRECTV subscribers access to all three Circle City Broadcasting stations.
WISH-TV and WNDY-TV will launch on DIRECTV platforms in the coming weeks. Additional information about their availability will be shared as the stations prepare to return.
